Recognized as a stop for eclectic European and American brands, the Manhattan-based Duo showroom expands with accessories and fashion-forward sportswear for Fall 2010.

By Lynda M. Johnson, March 22, 2010

The NYC-based Duo showroom broadens its offerings this season, adding accessories and a selection of style-savvy lines.  Nine new collections join existing fashion staples Kaiya Eve, Rowdy Sprout, Mim-Pi, Joah Love, Fore! Axel & Hudson, Mini Mioche, Micro Me, Minishatsu and Millions of Colors.

The addition of accessories helps Duo’s Robin Wilcher offer her retailers a finishing touch to many of her lines. For jewelry, check out Canada’s Caracol, which picks up on hip trends from the adult market for its children’s offerings. For girls, retailers can choose from necklaces, pendants, earrings and bracelets in beautiful, colorful wooden beads and shells. The boys’ offering stands out with masculine metal pendants on leather or rope and wide bracelets in leather. The line wholesales from $3-$4.

For belts, look to Cowboys Belt from the Netherlands. These stylish and sturdy belts are made from quality materials and feature handmade craftsmanship, including  weaving, lacing and embossed finishes. Choose from leather in  basic solid shades and color-rich playful patterns. The line wholesales from $19-$24.

When it comes to fashionable sheepskin boots, the choice at Duo is Australia Luxe. Custom embellishments, rich colors, fur trims and specialty treatments crank up the fashion quotient for this Australian footwear staple. Styles wholesale from $50-$70.

Unique and stylish, Spain’s Desigual features prints based on children’s drawings in vivid colors on wearable silhouettes in everything from comfy knits to denim. This very fashion-forward line  for boys and girls sized 4-14 wholesales from $6-$40.

California-based Toica Stefan gives edgy style to both boys and girls with unexpected details,  cool graphics and novelty silhouettes. The offering for girls is great, but boys’ wear is can’t-miss. Sized for 2T-10, the line wholesales from $16-$34.

The possibilities are endless for mixing and matching with 4 Funky Flavours, an eclectic import from the Netherlands that gets its inspiration from London, Tokyo, Moscow and Santiago. Bold colors are balanced with earthy tones, and the details reflect the cultural mix of the cities. For boys and girls from infants-10, the line wholesales from $18-$64.

If you’re looking for clean, simple styling done in beautiful fabrics and rich colors, then IsModern is not to be missed. Among this season’s stand-outs: chunky cropped sweaters over dresses printed in graphic winter florals and stripes. Sized for 2-12, the line wholesales for $14-$40.

Pretty, feminine and fun best describes Dutch brand Pom Pom. Featuring great details and a slight Victorian vibe, this collection is perfect for mixing, matching and layering. Sized for girls ages 2-10, the line wholesales for $11-$38.

Tiny Pants is big on style. Taking inspiration from the runway, this line mixes edgy and feminine with ease allowing little girls to strike a pose.  The collection encompasses everything from sportswear to outerwear. Sized for girls 2-14, the line wholesales from $12-$30.
