When I did Bee's layette I knew we needed to order bibs so my mom, sister, grandma and I went through their wall of bibs and picked a mix of styles - some fancy, some fun and a few that the sales person said we had to have.
After a few weeks I sent my mom to get me more Velcro bibs because I had given up on even trying to close a button. Let's face it, when an infant is hungry she's not going to hold still while you button her bib. She doesn't know that the pink with embroidery is much prettier than the solid Velcro style, she just wants to eat. Another issue I had with the bibs I bought was the neck size. With Velcro closures I could to some extent adjust the neck size and with buttons and snaps I couldn’t. In some instances, even with Velcro, the neck was too small. By the time Bee was a few months old her neck had outgrown her bibs and I had to purchase what I thought looked like larger sized bibs. Why don’t they size bibs? I think that would be so helpful to moms. While Bee has a number of stylish bibs, and of course her New York Yankees bib, my favorites are Giggle’s striped bibs. The side closure is the easiest way to put on and remove a bib, especially when Bee falls asleep while feeding. - Bee's mom, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. My mom and sister pulled the pretty ones with embroidery and a button closure and a few styles had a snap or Velcro closure. After Bee was born I found myself reaching for the Velcro styles every time I fed her. Velcro is so much easier to close and remove when compared to buttons and snaps.
