Certified organic clothing collection Eco Bella Bello keeps it simple but stylish with cool colors, clever graphics and casual silhouettes.

By Lynda M. Johnson, November 25, 2009

Eco Bella Bello, the kids' collection from contemporary women's design veterans Ria Giuliano-Thomas and James Thomas, adds a new fashion dimension to certified organic clothing. Simple silhouettes provide the perfect canvas for Eco Bella Bello's clever graphics. For its debut collection, the line presents three fashion groups. The 'Fairy Tale' group offers boys and girls knights, enchanted forests, dragons and a royal kitty with a crown. In the 'Destination' group, cheeky word plays and animal motifs are highlighted. A sheep graphic, for example, gets paired with 'Baaarooklyn, New York, or an antelope image shows up with 'Los Antelope, California.' The 'Animal' group features loveable puppies and wild animals along with words associated with each animal. These playful graphics pop against a muted color palette of peach, bronze, coral, misty blue, lemon yellow, gray, chambray, pink and tan.

The line, which is designed in New York and produced in California, uses non-toxic inks and low impact dyes. Key silhouettes include the flutter sleeve dress and top for girls, a Henley top for boys and unisex crewneck t-shirts. Sized 2-7 for boys and 2-8 for girls, Eco Bella Bello wholesales from $12-50-$17.50.
