At this summer’s ENK Show in New York City, Igloo is unveiling the new season of its Ambition line to the delight of its legion of fans, which include young girls, moms, retailers and reviewers alike.
Sandra Stollar, president and head designer of Igloo Island, introduced Ambition Activewear in Fall 2011 to empower girls with a line of stylish activewear that would appeal to their sense of fashion and motivate them to participate in physical activity. Girls quickly embraced Ambition’s motto: “Start Strong End Strong” Mom’s immediately recognized the impact the clothing had on their daughters’ sense of confidence and self-esteem. And buyers have welcomed the sales appeal of these high-quality inspirational garments. “I design Ambition clothes with inspiration from my 11-year-old daughter and her teammates on her local gymnastics team,” said Ms. Stollar. “The girls not only appreciate how the clothes make them feel as confident young athletes.
