Lynda M. Johnson, KidStyleSource.com editor/fashion director
Lynda M. Johnson is a fashion journalist and stylist with over 20 years of experience working for both trade and consumer publications. Currently working as a consultant to the children’s fashion industry and teaching as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Johnson worked for Fairchild Publications for 27 years as a fashion journalist/stylist for Children’s Business, Spree and SportStyle magazines. Her work in the industry garnered her two Atrium Awards and an Art Direction Magazine’s Creativity Award.
Johnson also lectures college and high school students from across the country about careers in the fashion and publishing industries. She is the Co-Founder and Chair of the Go On Girl! Book Club, the #1 reading club targeting African American women in the country. The organization puts on the only annual Author’s Award event honoring authors and publishers who’ve made significant contributions in book publishing for and about people of African descent. She co-authored "The Go On Girl! Book Club Guide for Reading Groups" for Hyperion in 1999.
Johnson is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she majored in Advertising Marketing and Communications.
